KANZAKI®FS430


Product Description

FS430 is a Japanese-designed environmental flame retardant synergist developed for PVC and rubber virgin material systems.
It provides high-efficiency synergistic flame-retardant performance and can function as an effective alternative to antimony trioxide in various formulations, while maintaining low-smoke characteristics and excellent processing stability.

FS430 is engineered to meet the increasing requirements for environmental compliance, fire safety, and formulation reliability, making it suitable for continuous industrial processing.

 PVC conduits, profiles, and sheets

 Flame-retardant rubber products

 Building and infrastructure flame-retardant materials



Flame Retardant Mechanism

During the initial stage of combustion, FS430 forms a stable protective layer on the material surface, isolating oxygen and reducing heat transfer, while internal endothermic reactions lower the combustion temperature.

Under high-temperature conditions, FS430 participates in gas-phase action, diluting the oxygen concentration in the combustion zone, thereby suppressing sustained combustion.

Processing Information

 Recommended extrusion temperature: 190–210°C

 Moderate screw configuration strength is advised to avoid excessive shear

 Prevent localized overheating caused by combined thermal and shear effects

 Thermal decomposition temperature of FS430: approximately 340°C, ensuring good stability within standard PVC and rubber processing windows

 

Recommended Dosage

PVC systems:

 Can fully replace antimony trioxide

 Recommended dosage: 3–6 phr

Rubber systems:

 When used in combination with brominated flame-retardant systems

 Stable flame-retardant performance can be achieved (V-0 rating attainable depending on formulation and testing conditions)


Important Notes

1. FS430 is a high-performance flame retardant synergist; please use rationally according to actual application requirements

2. Seal the package properly after use to prevent moisture absorption

3. Each manufacturer should conduct formulation trials based on its own processing conditions
